And so it begins!

And so the Christmas Market season begins! Countdown to the holidays and festive season.

I have just come from the fields where we are setting up for the Bank Windhoek family Expo which starts tomorrow. Due to the extreme heat in Windhoek, and the tents still awaiting air conditioning, I have decided to come and hide in my cool little studio and post some photos before the craziness starts again. I'll definitely wait a while before I get back to setting up, just for the temperature to drop a bit! There are very promising clouds in the sky, which could explain the heat! So I'm hoping we get a little rain shower over the weekend : )

Im very excited about the Bank Windhoek Expo! I'll be launching the kids clothing along with a friend of mine who has also designed and made a little collection, very exciting! Collectively we have decided on the brand 'Klein EK'. Come and see all the goodies for little people! The jewellery on display will also be new stock, so there is lots to see.

Elze Maus

This year I will be exhibiting at the Kids Expo in Windhoek. This expo kicks off the Christmas Market season!

The expo is launching a Christmas Market this year, so there will be lots of pretty market goodies! The exhibition halls/tents are also air conditioned this year. This makes for a very pleasant shopping experience in Windhoek's October heat!

I will be exhibiting my jewellery, and launching a new range that will be on exhibit at all the other Christmas markets this year as well. Along with the jewellery, I am also launching a new little project I have been working on: Elze Maus! "Fur kleine mause" - clothing for little people!

The sewing is still very new to me, so I have started off with 3 basic styles for little girls ages 3 to 12 months. Each little outfit is a once off, one of a kind piece! Along with my own clothing, I have also imported cotton crotched items and some bamboo yarn products. Bamboo yarn is eco-friendly, odour and mildew resistant, naturally anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic. A great product is the bamboo yarn face cloth which is great for a little face!

When your sister starts posting on your facebook wall 'new month new blog please', the you know its about time!
