At last a post! I have been relocating from Swakopmund to Windhoek. Inbetween all the packing and unpacking, boxes and newspaper, hot cross buns and hanging up curtains, I completely abandoned the blog. But now I am all set up in Windhoek in our new home. My studio has upgraded from a dark garage space to a teeny tiny room with a view : ). Still working on curtains, but photos will follow soon! Very happy with my new space.
Here are some pieces from I finished off just before the big move. It get this 'two by two' feeling because every ring I made, I did again in 9ct yellow gold. A lot of girls, especially younger girls, always tell me they dont like yellow gold, they prefer silver or white gold. But I think yellow gold with a matt finish is just beautiful! Its so warm, and subdued and golden and just yummy : )
